Duress
A duress code is a secret emergency password that, when entered on the device lockscreen, triggers a factory reset of the device.

Setting a Duress Password
- Open your Settings application.
- Tap Security & privacy → More security & privacy
- Tap Duress code
- You’ll need to enter your current before you can perform any modifications
- Tap Set duress code
- Follow the onscreen instructions
Removing the Duress Password
- Open your Settings application.
- Tap Security & privacy → More security & privacy
- Tap Duress code
- You’ll need to enter your current before you can perform any modifications
- Tap Clear duress code
- Follow the onscreen instructions
This feature will wipe the device making the data unrecoverable.

Factory Reset on Inactivity
If the device remains inactive for an extended period, it will automatically initiate a factory reset to protect your data.
This feature will wipe the device making the data unrecoverable.

Disable Factory Reset on Inactivity
- Open your Settings application.

- Select Never
Automatic Restart on Inactivity
Automatic restart on inactivity ensures the device restarts after prolonged inactivity to maintain security and system integrity. If the device is lost, this feature helps keep it in Before First Unlock (BFU) mode, where user data remains encrypted and inaccessible until the correct password is entered.
After the device restarts, you must enter your password for certain applications to function, as user data remains inaccessible until after the first unlock (AFU mode).

Fingerprint Timeout
The Fingerprint Authorization Timeout allows you to control how long fingerprint authentication remains active before requiring a password. By default, the timeout is set to a maximum of 12 hours, after which you must enter your password to continue using fingerprint unlock. This feature enhances security while reducing password fatigue, providing a balance between convenience and protection.
Changing the Fingerprint Timeout
